Pete Sullivan, lexperitus Founder & President
With nearly 30 years’ experience in content development and marketing, lexperitus President Pete Sullivan has collaborated with practice area leaders from across the country and around the world, crafting and publishing content on topics ranging from Admiralty to Zoology, with special focus on Bankruptcy, Commercial Litigation, Criminal Defense, and Family Law.
In addition to helping lawyers demonstrate their practice area expertise through thought leadership, Pete also works as a legal industry blogger for Thomson Reuters’ Legal Executive Institute and as a freelance writer for the company’s Housing Development Reporter.
A Career in Legal & Professional Publishing
Prior to launching lexperitus, Pete served as Senior Development Editor with Aspatore Books, a small but extremely popular imprint under the vast Thomson Reuters umbrella. His broad duties included topic development, recruitment of C-level subject matter experts, editorial project management, and post-release sales and marketing. He also served as a consultant to the Litigation editorial team attorney-editors, where his responsibilities included product development and marketing, contract negotiation and interpretation, and mediation of thorny author-publisher relationships.
Pete earned an MBA in Marketing, a BA in Communications/Journalism, and a certificate in Business Management, all from St. John Fisher College, in Rochester, NY.

Pete has been deeply involved in efforts that support the young people in his Pittsford, NY community since relocating there in 1999.
